In the past year, we have
branched out from the traditional look just at the
Bible to explore related topics, which get at more of
the ‘why’ behind our religious beliefs. Bible Study
will not meet on Ash Wednesday, February 10th.

Lenten Study Program|12:00PM|St. Matthew’s Lenten Study
Program
Perhaps the most eloquent critique of war in our
times has not been a book, but a TV series, MASH.
Airing from 1972-1983, it followed closely on the
heels of American involvement in Vietnam. This Lent,
I invite you to consider how we have looked at war,
laughed at how soldiers and medical support staff
‘operated’ in the midst of war, and what that has
taught us as a country about going to war again. We
will meet on Sundays of Lent (Feb 14—March 13)
beginning at 12noon for a light lunch, look at two
episodes from the extensive MASH collection, and
discuss what we have seen. A mini study guide will be
offered to participants.
