St. Matthew’s is very <br>fortunate to have such wonderful volunteers. <br>Although summer has felt strange this year (just my <br>opinion), we will start working on getting the shop <br>ready for fall. We are no longer accepting donations <br>of large Christmas trees. It just takes up too much <br>room to store them. It’s the same with magazines <br>and books. Although we will still will accept book <br>donations, we no longer accept magazines. The <br>Northern Tier Children’s home won’t take the <br>overflow we get, which leaves us the “great middle <br>manâ€. Again, many thanks to everyone who helped <br>us at the beginning of August. Forward we march <br>into the next season.<br>Drop-off days for September are the 5th and the 19th<br>from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm. All of your donations are <br>tax deductible. You will be given a receipt upon <br>request.<br>Volunteers are also needed Tuesday’s and Thursday’s <br>from10:00 am – 1:30 pm, to sort and re-stock the <br>shelves. If you are not able to stay the entire time, no <br>worries! Come and work during those hours for as <br>long as you can. Even an hour will help! Bring your <br>lunch! and enjoy the fellowship of other volunteers. <br>The shop is open from 10:00 am-2:00 pm every <br>5<br>Saturday, except holiday weekends. Help is needed to <br>assist customers with their purchases. Foyer's Kick-off dinner|6:00PM|@ Parish Hall|Foyer Groups are small groups of <br>people who get together to do something FUN. The <br>whole point is to get to know each other better doing <br>something the group wants to do. Some of the things <br>Foyers did in the past: pumpkin carving party., crazy <br>things that have happened at weddings, play a game <br>like Trivial Pursuit, a progressive dinner, talk about a <br>trip someone in the group has taken, etc. You can <br>meet wherever you want, do whatever you want, <br>meet once a month whenever you want. <br>We will have a dish to pass at 6:00 on September 20th <br>to put groups together. If you haven’t signed up yet, <br>come on the 20th and we’ll get you a group.<br>Note: the parish hall is always an option for a meeting <br>place. <br>See Janet Wilson or Kitty Rolfe if you have questions
